Riverside Resort is located on Cedar Island Lake, one of the 15 lakes on the Horseshoe Chain of Lakes. Connected by the Sauk River, the Horseshoe Chain of Lakes offers great diversity and 15 miles of water to explore! Whether you are a fisherman, swimmer, skier, boater, or confirmed beach bum, you will find a staggering concentration of water to enjoy.
Minnesota legend has it that the waters of Minnesota are the handiwork of Paul Bunyan and his blue ox Babe, mythological heroes of lumbering days. Her lakes are Babe’s footprints, her rivers the imprint of the giant ox’s tail as it dragged along behind in the legendary duo’s timber cruising travels.
But there are other legends, far more believable, and far more promising to fishermen on Cedar Island Lake. They are guest’s tales of walleye, bass, channel cat, and tackle-busting northern pike, each one a story measured in superlatives.
They are also stories of wide-eyed smiles on the faces of young children hoisting sunfish or crappies onto a Riverside Resort dock or aboard a fishing boat.
Spring, summer, winter, or fall, sample this legendary land of fishing for yourself. Once you have, you will return again and again to live the legend for yourself.
