Best Travel Food

“Then Jesus declared, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to me will never go hungry, and he who believes in me will never go thirsty.” John 6:35

We rely on the word of God to satisfy our souls, but God has created us in such a way that our physical bodies rely on food and drink to sustain ourselves. We find this to be especially true while on road trips or whenever spending a substantial amount of time traveling. As July 4th weekend approaches, many of you will be “on the move” (maybe even some will be coming to Riverside Resort 🙂 ) It is amazing how food can brighten the mood of both children and adults when times are getting testy on the road (let’s be honest, car travel has a way of bringing out the worst in us, so food becomes important).

When choosing snacks and meals for a road trip, there are three principles that apply.

1). Food with minimal crumbs and low “messy factor”

2). Food that is mostly healthy (however having sweet treats from time to time is a must)

3). Food that takes some time to eat

To aid in a deliciously enjoyable journey, here are some “on-the-go” food suggestions for you to try:

these are very tedious and take some patience, but they are well worth it.Having cookie bites as opposed to regular cookies allows everyone to have them more often during the trip.
